Get Personal With Your Safety was born from a place of pain, resilience, and purpose. Our founder, Shannon, survived over a decade of abuse beginning at just 6 years old—abuse at the hands of someone she was meant to trust. When her abuser was released from prison as she entered her early twenties, Shannon sought protection and support but was met with silence and systemic failure.

Instead of staying silent, she chose to speak up—not just for herself, but for everyone who’s ever felt unsafe, unheard, or alone.

Over the past four years, Get Personal has grown into a powerful community and safe space on TikTok and beyond. We support survivors, raise awareness, and empower people to take their safety seriously—without shame or stigma. This is more than a brand. It’s a movement for those who’ve lived in fear, and a reminder that your story matters.

WHO WE’RE FOR
Get Personal exists for a community of people who, for whatever reason, feel they want to be able to protect themselves, legally.
From social anxiety to past trauma, DV survivors to mental health sufferers, we are for everyone who lives with demons they
want to overcome so that they can feel safe and confident in their daily lives.

THE PROBLEM
There’s a conversation around personal safety that isn’t being talked about loudly enough. Recent research published by the
UK Government found that only 28% feel safe in the area where they live, with anxieties brought on by being outside of the home significantly increasing since the global pandemic. Whether they’re suffering from a history of abuse, fear of walking home alone, social anxiety at busy events, or on public transport, there are countless good people suffering in silence because they’re
not able to protect themselves in a way that abides by the law.

THE SOLUTION
Our safety keychains/safety products were created to empower a community of like-minded people to overcome their various challenges and live a more well-rounded and fulfilling life knowing that they have the means to protect themselves if necessary. The laws in the UK around what you can and can’t carry are extremely strict, but every feature available on our safety keychains has been approved by UK police officers and abide by the rules of what is safe to carry.

OUR DIFFERENCE
We believe that everyone has the right to protect themselves from harm, no matter their gender or personal circumstances. At
Get Personal, we’re not just for women, for DV victims, or mental health sufferers, but for all of those who live in fear that they
hope to find the strength to overcome. We are a brand built from purpose, experience, and courage to face our demons every
day in pursuit of a safer, more confident, and more fulfilling life.

Now the business is financially in a place to help our most vulnerable, from the 1st of March 2025 every order that’s placed part of the profits will be used to provide charities/vulnerable people with free products/resources to enable them to live a safer & more fulfilling lives.

The chosen charities will need to have a similar ethos to Get Personal with your safety. We’re currently in talks with Domestic violence charities, homelessness & support groups that provide women with support after trauma.

We’ll also be exploring opportunities of working with local councils/work environments to provide education/resources about how to keep ourselves & others safe. We believe this is fundamental to making a difference long-term in the UK.

We have set up a charity highlight which we’ll update monthly on which charities we’re supporting and how much/what we’ve achieved.
